Jeffrey is originally from West Liberty, West Virginia, and brings to Carolina Trace an extensive professional background in management, golf operations, and military service.
Jeffrey’s journey in golf commenced during his youth as a player and summertime caddie at his hometown country club. While serving on active duty, he began preparing for his childhood dream of becoming a Golf Professional. Stationed at Ft. Bragg NC, he attended and graduated from the Golfworks Club Fitting and Repair School and completed the Frankly Golf Certified Putting Instructor course. Concurrently, while still in the service, Jeffrey owned and operated Taylor’s Custom Clubs and Repair, gaining recognition throughout the greater Fayetteville area for his expertise in clubs, shafts, and the assembly of all types of golf clubs. Upon retiring from the United States Army active duty in 2017, he joined Pinehurst LLC in Golf Operations at the Padget Learning Center. In 2019, Jeffrey transitioned to Dick's Sporting Goods as one of the primary Golf Club Fitters, contributing to their recognition as a Callaway top 100 Fitting store.
Throughout Jeffrey’s career, he has consistently displayed professionalism, whether on the driving range, in practice areas, in the pro shop, or while fitting and repairing clubs. Currently serving as a PGA Associate and First Assistant Golf Professional at Carolina Trace Country Club, Jeffrey also holds a distinguished military record, having served as a United States Military Sniper School Instructor, paratrooper, Senior Scout Observer with the 82nd Airborne Division’s Long-Range Surveillance Detachment, and Platoon Sergeant with an Airborne infantry Platoon in direct combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Residing in the Southern Pines area with his daughter Ella, Jeffrey not only brings his profound understanding of the game we love to our club but also integrity. His decision to join Carolina Trace was driven by the membership, and he eagerly anticipates what the future holds for him and his family, especially now that he calls Carolina Trace Country Club 'home'. 'Next on the tee.'
